Welcome to What Journalism, a blog about, well, journalism.  More specifically, the blog’s aim is to look at how journalism works, ranging from descriptions of street level reporting to more theoretical approaches to journalism as a whol. it might also feature the odd piece about how journalism should work and what journalism could do – both now and in the future.

The main keyboard basher on this blog is a part Danish, part English journalist and editor who has worked for a TV station, a weekly newspaper, on-line media and a couple of magazines.

He’s usually happiest when reporting from the streets, or, as shown on the picture below,  from the air. He’s also deeply fascinated with the process of turning that reporting into a finished product.

This blog is a work of passion and not what I do for a living. The aim is to update it with new posts about every fortnight.
